hi

I've tried a lot of headphones recently, including some good ones, and the more I listen to them the more I hate the way they soundstage.

I've tried everything: Isone, Isone surround, the 5.1 foobar mod etc... even with those mods, I prefer my music out of my parents crappy all-in-one home theater.

so my question is: should I go for something like the smyth realiser, even if I only listen in stereo? or are headphones just not for me?

the problem is that I live in my parents house, so no 2ch system for me...

Honestly, I think that headphones aren't for you, from what you want.

@johntodd

thanks, but I pretty much know what I want in term of sq.

about the soundstage aspect, I've recently tried the hd800s. compared to most headphones its soundstage was superb but it's still not enough for me.

@SLaRe

that's what it think, too...

Sounds like you need speakers. The HD800 is about as expansive as it gets short of a K1000 (which may satisfy you).

I think that the only ones you should try are the AKG K1000 and any of the Stax line...

I plan on getting the o2, but the audio shop close to me doesn't have them.

Just blow the many and get a full sized speaker system. I guarantee you will be content.

I can't get a speaker system. In my situation it's impossible.
