Looking for a music phone.
Price range: 400
IEM/ Headphone used: will adapt to the phone. Do not have anything worthy now.
Screen size: does not matter
What kind of sound you wanna get: more warm? more detail? bigger soundstage? Detailed for sure. Larger soundstage would be nice.
What kind of music you mainly listen: Pop? Rock? EDM? Orchestra? Rock/Alternative/Rap (not basshead)/ classic
Special request: 2018-2019 production year.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

LG V30+

Any of you guys know a smaller phone that is reasonably good for music?
I've considered the LGV30, but it's still too big for my needs
production year doesn't matter but needs to have USB C.
Doesn't need to be the best sound quality wise. Just need one that's enjoyable on the go with IEMs.

For low impedance IEMs there is actually very little difference beetwen the various flagships. But its actually hard to find phones with headphone jack (im not sure if thats a problem for you).

I’d give the xiaomi mi9SE a look. If headphone jack is a problem just get a BTR3.

Edit: s10e is small, has jack and nice audio output

Thank you for all the replies!
The Meizus are still a bit big for my taste but has a very good price.
A headphone jack is important for me and I'm really leaning towards the s10e.
But s10e price is still quite steep at the moment. I will probably wait until the price drops and buy that.
Any other recommendations are appreciated.

Edit:
I've just checked out the Meizu pro 7, and it seems that it tick all the box for me. Any thoughts on this phone? SQ and general usability wise?

i'd avoid that phone even just for the mediatek processor. That and the fact that it's already a 2yo old model.

Hey OP,
I took your advice and bought the Le Max x900. And I absolutely love it. I want to continue this journey into audio. Do you think the xplay 6 is way better than the le max? or do you think I should give DAPs a try? I use KZ headphones mostly BTW, what are your goto headphones while listening on the x900?

Xplay6 will be a great jump from letv max. You might need to adjust the ear feeling a little bit since the tonal is quite different but once you get used to it, xplay6 has better vocal and better instrumental separation.

But the first thing is to upgrade the headphone first.

My go to headphone was 64audio U12. And Now it is fitear 335dwsr.

Hello, what phone do you recommend to listen to music, which costs around € 50 almost? It's for use in the gym, that's why I want to spend little. regards

Can I recommend fiio btr3 and shanling m0 instead?

Phone with 50 euro, I didnt even know it has??

Or 2012 has? Meizu m8 can you find it second hand lol.

Can I get the LG g4 for € 28 or the LG v10 for 50, are good options?

Both model can get bootloop when older. So weigh the risk yourself.
