Found interesting website which review audio aspect of smartphones. It confirmed that Xplay 6 is the best audio smartphone.

Two of the "best" sounding mobile phones are supposed to be the ZTE Axom 7 and the Onkyo Granbeat. I wonder why neither of those phonese made the soomal review site.

Of course you won't be satisfied with it, Even though soomal have not test Honor 10 yet, its output won't be very different from the measurement of Honor 9 which is -9.5dB (I think they talk about dBFS).
The sound will be lifeless compared to your Xplay 6 which output 1dBFS in HiFi mode. Your Letv Max can also output -2.5dBFS in HiFi mode.

For your reference, output of some smartphone measured by soomal (descending order) number are for HiFi mode (for some HiFi phones):
- Vivo Xplay 6: 1dB
- Vivo Xplay 5: 0dB
- Letv Le Max/Le Pro 1: -2.5dB
- LG G5SE+Hifi Plus: -5dB
- Google Pixel XL: -6.9dB

Vivo xplay6 latest fw 7.12.1 doesn't support DSD mode for neutron and uapp. Only HiFi works for these apps.
So DSD mode is for now restricted for iMusic only.

SOLUTION If you already go thru latest update, you can downgrade to 7.12.0 by downloading https://www.vivo.com.cn/dl/361

Once download completes, click the zip file to install and everything is fine right away.

And there are still a bunch of people who have been still keeping both lg v30 and dx200. so it depends.

I once had LG V30 but I sold it and am keeping both vivo xplay6 and dx200 (now with amp4).

I will get the unit today. it is chinese version with 6/128G so it is different from what global version sells. I will listen for one day and will give initial feedback first. Oh and I will have a sea trip this weekend so I can do photo comparison as well.

Anyone tried the Hidizs Sonata HD or Musiland mu1?
They're usbc - 3.5 converters, the musiland mu1 has a akm DAC and a DSP inside.

I would be willing to bet the Hidizs is using the exact same off the shelf configuration. They quote the same 114dB SNR number ...

I just measured the Hidizs vs. my stock Huawei Mate 10 Pro dongle. Unless you need the extra power (0.9V vs. 0.22V into 16Ohm), don't bother with the Hidizs dongle. It spits out a lower quality signal than the stock Huawei dongle into a 16 Ohm load. Worse THD/DNR for a similar driving voltage of 100mV (this is high for sensitive earphones.

sorry guys just want to up this, i have no idea what phone to buy, i knew that LG V-series are good but i didn't know how it will perform on Spotify..
i owned Le Max x900+ and the Digitizer is broken, i bought the replacement digitizer but there are no tech-shop here in the Philippines that can fix it..
so i decided to buy a new phone.. the Le Max x900+ is so good hands-down for live, acoustic and rock music on Spotify..

so any suggestions are really appreciated.. thanks!
