Are there any powerful little portable amps on the market will work well with a JH16 / ipod combo, and also harder to drive over-ear cans like a magnostatic HE-5 LE / DAC combo. I'm trying to avoid buying two separate amps for portable and home use, although I'm not sure how realistic it is that a portable amp can drive HE-5s properly?

I am using a Pelican PB2 in balanced mode (high gain) with the HE-6 no issues (from a balanced DAC) at full volume it'is far too loud for me to listen to.

wait till next month when the balanced dac comes out from ibasso.  no point in getting the boomslang if something is coming up. and with ibasso, its usually a winner.  i owned the db1 and pb1 combo... veryvery good sounding combo (not jsut compared to toher portables).
