Best over-Ear headphones in the 400$ price range?

I'm lookimg for a good set of headphones that will last me a long time that I can buy with the Christmas money (400-500ish) I'm getting this year. I listen to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Strokes, Tegan and Sara, Metric, Muse, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rush, MGMT, Kid Cudi, Vampire Weekend, etc.

Any recommendations?
