Best looking games thread

Alan Wake 2 definitely takes the cake for me for best looking I have personally seen.
Even better than Cyberpunk 2077 dare I say.
The textures are realistic and detailed. Lighting and reflections are top notch. Everything you should expect from an Unreal Engine 5 game, this game along with Cyberpunk 2077 are pretty much the latest graphical benchmarking tools.

Yeah, and really needs a remake of the graphics. It would look amazing due to such high quality style. Demon's Souls remake blew me away when I started it up for the first time.
I also hope that Bloodborne will one day receive a remake! BESIDES, I do really hope the frame rate will locked to 60 alongside the remaster

I agree this game is just beautiful. The art direction and the motion capture applied.. This was a PS4 game when it first came out. The way it starts out the story and carries the story was just so well done, but I did get tired of it later on since I'm going through the camps doing the same thing over and over again. This scene is a very cool scene the way it starts out.

Hogwart's Legacy. Very high fidelity and detailed design at 4k at high fps. I'm very awe'd by it's visuals and the planning of the world. I recommend for those into high visuals for emersion. Might be the most detailed open world I've ever seen.

Stellar Blade is damn good looking, and I'm shocked at the optimization the team did to have it running to such level of fidelity on PS5. I'm getting good fluid fps with such good looking graphics. Amazing design, and animation sequences. gameplay movements are a bit clunky at times (platforming), but that is the only main complaint I have along side uncreative puzzles, but man is the game great looking! Early game is kinda meh, but gets better and better.

I think I'm leaning toward The First Descendant now. The small scale of the environments makes it possible to pack a lot of detail and realistic lighting into scenes.

Cyberpunk is probably more visually ambitious, since it uses path tracing and large, sprawling environments, but the actual asset quality of this puts it a smidge ahead in my book.

Gonna add Monster Hunter Wilds. I like the animations with the most recent monster hunter games (World and this one). What's special about the mechanics is the way the weapon bounces off and getting a good feedback of the attacks. You can feel the weight and impact of the weapons by it's physics.

Seems to work like World still. Not much difference, just different environment it seems. The animations getting more and more natural. I got to say the costume design is really good.

There is so much underlying mechanics to MH games, especially if you consider the focus of the series, the monsters and the weapons. There so many variations to the weapons and also the way the monsters react to the weapons. If looking closer, you can see the amount of complexity and details in how the monsters react to the weapons. There's a lot of nuanced details in terms of how it's made. It's a very complex blend of many many mechanics. I think in order to appreciate, you have to really dig into the game and understand how it works, or it's hard to appreciate. Think why the game is so replay able is due to random nature of the mechanics. Scenarios do not always play out same or scripted all the time, there's RNG to it. Blend of many mechanics that provides random outcomes.

Graphics on Black Myth: Wukong look killer. Looking forward to playing it this month.

Me too bro, me to. It's been like 4 years since the hype started? I really don't understand why it took 4 years even after all those hot footages they had. So weird.

Visuals aside, I hope the gameplay really lives up to the hype. I can't believe we are about to get a release after so long.

I feel like these days, western developers laying off left and right, and East Asian developers starting to push out AAA games more and more. Korea and China. Japan has been around awhile, so they been already developing, although not as high quantity as they used to.

MH Wilds, longsword. My main. I luv the way the moveset looks.

Got to give it to Black Myth Wukong right now.

Downloaded the benchmark program from Steam and it is beautiful.
I ran the benchmark too. I still can't tell how well designed the game is. Also, we will know better when we actually run the game, where it matter. The reviews are coming out on the 16th, so we will have some idea.

I will need to know how good the gameply is, or I will not pull the trigger. I like a good action rpg in the style of souls games.

What's odd is the PC version is released first before console. Not sure if they really focused on optimizing for PC? Not sure if well optimized with FG on. FG is a crutch.

DL'ing it now. Will see if 2 hrs brings me any interest, if not, refund.

I'm still interested because the score might be lowered due to wokeness, and also Stellar Blade was 80 percent, and was good.
