This strikes me as being a somewhat juvenile question, but I'll ask anyway...

Right now, I have a JVC HA-RX900 that I use for gaming, but the pressure it puts on my temples is very annoying and prevents me from enjoying extended sessions. For that reason, I use it only for gaming, and use the Koss KSC-75 for everything else. I like that the Koss don't put any pressure on my head at all and I was wondering if I could get the same thing for games. I had planned on getting the Shure SCL4 when they were on sale for $79.99, but they all disappeared by the time I was ready to buy!

So, I was wondering if there are any IEMs or earphones like the KSC-75 that are better suited for games. I've tried the 75s for that, but admittedly they lack the bass and soundstage that I like for gaming.

I would hope its the sennheiser ie8 as it has the largest soundstage which is very important.
I dont know but Id like to know the answer to this question as well.

I love my Sennheiser PC350. Very comfy, uses the HD595 driver so it sounds great. The boom mic is second to none IMO. Isolates well too.

My Westone 3's hold their ground in my short counterstrike session with them. I only played for 30 min or so but they seemed to be ok. They did much better than my marshmallows, pl30, and superfi. 5 pro ever did. Granted, these don't come anywhere near my d2000 for gaming, but they seem to be pretty solid. I'll give them another try tomorrow and see how it goes.

PC350 = no, no and no!!!!

It is garbage. Really.

Headphonic: The Sennheiser PC350 | Headphonic: Australian Headphone Specialists: Buy Etymotic, Alessandro, Audio Technica, Ultimate Ears, Talisman, Meier Audio and more

A much better alternative on the cheap is an Audio Technica AD700 + clip-on mic or if you really want a gaming headset with boom mic that's 'good value' (as in not as ripoffy as the PC350) , try the Beyerdynamic MMX series.

A much better cheaper better value way is a standard stereo headphone that has great soundstage and audio positioning (such as AD700) with a clip-on microphone.

For earphones for gaming, E.D.G.E Acoustics GX400 anyone?

What is basically is an Etymotic ER4P with a clip-on mic.
Since it is basically an ER4P, it'll be great for music too.

ive been using er4p for gaming recently, the experience is not bad,but it lacks soundstage so i ended up turning on the dolby headphone effect to enhance it a bit. i can hear where sounds are coming from in exactly which direction, but cannot really sense the distance of the sounds

Thanks alot for the recommendations, everyone. I have something to work with now.

Does anybody have an opinion on the Nuforce NE-7M and/or NE-8 for gaming? I was originally considering them before the SCL4 deal came and went. Would it worth going back to that for gaming?

It's garbage as in it's 'BOSE-like' overpriced.
There are much better alternatives out there for cheaper, even in boom mic headsets.

Unless you have intimate knowledge of such devices, it's all just speculation. Name some that you know are better and have tested yourself. And have you auditioned the PC350? If not, how then in fact do you know it's overpriced and of lesser quality than that of other boom headsets?

Please don't say you base your conclusion on reviews because that is simply someone elses opinion.
