Best IEM tips?

Does anybody use normal silicone tips with etymotic iems? If yes, which ones?

Hello everyone. So, I've finally got eartips that I was suggested to get: Tanchjim T-APB T300T (and T300B in the same package) and Tennmak Whirlwind. From what I hear now - no, T300T is absolutely not the bassiest eartips to me. But T300B are really good though. They feel very comfortable, they sound warm and heavy. I hope that they'll be grippy enough to keep my IEMs sealed into the ear perfectly. My conclusion on Whirlwinds - large soundstage, a lot of treble. That's it. Maybe I need to concretise what I'm searching for: I don't care about ultra-low bass rumble that much, but I do care a lot about mid-bass punch effect, and that effect feels softer on wide bore eartips.

Heard so much good feedback on those i must finally get a few. Those are the ones that come with the Chu IEM, right?

Yes. I also bought Chu just for tips because they come with 3 pairs of these tips and if you buy tips separately it will cost more for 2 pairs pack

Edit: just checked, tips are now cheaper on linsoul and aliexpress, but on amazon 3 pairs is still 5$ more than Chu's with 3 pairs of eartips.

I'm curious. Do you hear T300B having more uppermids (relative to bass) than T300T? Do you hear T300B being louder than T300T (in terms of absolute volume)? Do you hear Whirlwind's treble being higher in quantity, but also more relaxing due to its soundstage?

I think I do hear all that, but IMR New Aten doesn't have a lot of mids by itself, so the difference is not that noticeable. The bass quantity and quality never was a problem for me, I just need an eartips that will help to deliver more punch from all that. And that's where the volume between driver and eardrum comes to play I guess: the less the air, the easier it is to push it. But that's only my opinion. That's what I hear. I can clearly feel that the punch lacks the power with wide bore eartips. It feels like all sound becomes bigger, but it also becomes more scattered and relaxed, compared to narrow bore being concentrated and powerful.

Here's why: if you don't know, these eartips have a little trick with hexagonal inner bore shape, which according to Tanchjim helps releive excessive pressure from the ear canal and improve comfort. There's also a thing on IMR's side that there's severe driver flex and failure when you use black lower stage filter which has no pressure compensating hole (at least there's the problem for me). I couldn't listen my New Aten with the bassiest setup just because of horrible vacuum effect. Now I can, because I think those eartips actually do their job. At least now, at least today I can finally use my favourite IEM at it's full power, hope there will be no change in the future. I definitely recommend it to everyone who has vacuum effect on their IEMs.

I use small final e tips with the nozzle adaptor. Very comfortable, great sound and the seal doesn't break as much as the triple flange for me.

I'm sure politicians must use those whirlwind tips then. There heads seem to get twice as big too. Come to think of it they also seem to lack a sense of direction, break every thing and really suck. So the name whirlwind is pretty apt.

I have KBEAR 08, they're alright, the only problem is the silicone quality. It hates comparisons, which obviously involves constantly putting eartips on and off. Maybe it happens only with KBEAR variant, I'm not sure, I only have them, but not BGVP. By now I think my top 1 will be T300B just because it's the only eartips that let me use black lower stage filter on my New Aten.

UPD: I was wrong. T-APB only help to make it easier to position IEMs in the ear so the vacuum won't bother that much. But the problem still exist. I don't know why it worked yesterday, but I've had a feeling that it was situational, and yes, it was. T300B is still very comfortable and bassy though.

Are there tips that sound like the Radius Deep Mount but are more comfortable?

Moondrop Spring tips were my only tips i used last 3 months and i'm not going back to any other.
Relatively thin and soft, slightly sticky to help with the grip, all this results with comfort and low pressure on ear canal even after hours of use.
They don't degrade like Xelastecs.
Sound-wise, having a wide bore, they maintain natural treble and low-end extension with microdetails and tactility.
Coming after Azla sedna earfit (black) these have huge improvement on comfort during long sessions with no sound compromise.

Thank you for posting this. I bought a 3 pack of medium after reading this post, they arrived today. I have bought and tried at least 7 different brands in the past half year. These are the ones, I put a pair on each of Audeze Euclid, Sennheiser IE 600 and Dunu Talos. Fantastic seal with the Euclid, slightly less than fantastic with the other 2, but the best so far. Will have to order another set for a backup

I just wanted to give a shout out to the audiosense s400.

I've tried a good number of tips now and they are standouts. They have a pivoting cap like spinfits but to me both sound and fit better. The sound is on the warmer/smoother side but they don't add bloat or kill the treble. Kind of like a final type-e but more open and airy.

Higly recommended for the price at less than 8 bucks shipped for three sets from aliexpress.
