what is the best headphone for say... $25? IEM, portable, or full sized?  i say $25, because i've just spent the other $175 on the girlfriend, and my headphones just broke lol i may be able to throw in another 5 but that's it. it's on a visa prepaid so.... yea.

The best headphone in that range is probably the Koss KSC75...if you can stand clip on style headphones.
 
IEM?  Have no idea.
 
If you want full sized, look at the Monoprice 8323.

Ksc-75's and Audio Technica ckm50a's.
 
by far the best.  CKM's for fun ness
ksc's for proper audiophilia.
 
my ksc's are 1 percent worse than my Creative aurvana lives.
the CKM50's are their own amazing animal.

If you could spend slightly more, I'd take the senn pmx680 over the ksc75. Just better clarity, and decent bass.
You  can  find it for 35$ at amazon. (but in other hand the ksc75 for only 13$)
