1- Best all around headphone. Sennheiser HE-1
2- Best 'bass' headphone. Abyss 1266 Phi TC
3- Best headphone for noise-cancelling. (Every ANC headphone i've heard is awful. I'd just use a closed-back with great seal) Focal Radiance
4- Best headphone for the budget. (Depends on what your interpretation of budget is. I interpret that as under $300.) HifiMan Sundara 2020

I love my Hifiman Anandas right now, they sound amazing and for the $400 used I paid for them, I made a great decision purchasing them.

Not to sound like a smart *ss but to me "the best headphone I ever heard" generally is the one I am using at the moment.
I have never heard the absolute best, the one that beats everything else, but always getting to like the one I am using at that moment up to the point when I am thinking: "Could it get any better than this?"

Due to circumstances, the best headphones can be sold (with hope of buying them again in the future) but memory of their sound remains
