Man, that must have been a looooooooooong time ago. Much more up to date is this -

Best heard - HE-6 fully modded straight from taps of my vintage Pioneer Spec system with a very close second place to my Pioneer SE Master 1. All the others listed are long gone...................my Denon LA-7000 was the equal of the Fostex TH900 so sold the Fostex.

Did like the Q40 but it was eclipsed many times.

Actually the price of the HD250 brand new adjusted to inflation was about $600-$700 if I am correct. Nowaday you can score a pair on ebay.de for less than $100.

BTW I sold my Oppo PM3 long ago. I had to massively equalize most headphones I owned. Not the HD250.
