First off, welcome to Head-Fi!  Secondly, edit out your profanity before a mod has to do it for you.

For open headphones, the most popular suggestions are the Alessandro MS-1 and the Audio Technica AD700.

For closed headphones, the Shure SRH840 can be had for about $120, while the Sennheiser HD280, Audio Technica MT-H50 dish out comparable performance for a bit less.

If you're up for some DIY modding, the Fostex T50RP would be a great pick as well.  Browse the wikiphonia for this headphone if you'd like diagrams depicting what you should do with them.

How do you define "under $100"?  If it's comfortably under, then I think the Grado SR-60i's would be your best bet.  If it's right near or at, then the Alessandro MS1's are $100, and the MS1i's are $110.

I was just in this situation, but my budget was $100 MAXIMUM, and I wanted to be very strict with that.  Predictably, I went SR-60i, but I also flipped a coin and triple checked my budget first.

I just bought the Audio Technica ATH M50S for $106 from B&H Photo! I can't wait to get them.
