Best gaming controller

Awww, that's real nice. She knows you well. lol That's a great controller from what I've read. I'm a big fan of Gamesir controllers now that Cyclone 2 is my primary go to. I like it more so than the 2C now, however, 2C is the best in terms of latency in dongle mode.

More observations:

I tried 2C again, and notice that the analog stick movement isn't very smooth like Cyclone 2. So, more precise movements would be more challenging with the 2C. Also, the 2C's analog stick grip isn't has rubbery or grippy as the Cyclone 2/PS5. The size of the grip is smaller diameter as well. So, Cyclone 2 edges it out, which is my go to right now.

Gamesir has gained my trust. I really luv the feel of the controller since it's Xbox form factor. My hand doesn't get sore like with PS5, which seems less ergonomic to me. Just feel bigger, and also 2C is too small so that creates sore hands too.

As far as my earlier d-pad analysis, it was wrong. The best d-pad for fighting games is the only Sega Saturn 6 button controllers with the swiveling d-pads. Today, I think they go with the more button like d-pads since people generally use it for ui or 2d game movements, which are digital.

I recently bought Skull & Co. thumbstick grips, will see how they fare. Any of yalls favorites for thumbstick grips?

I've been using a ps4 controller for a few years now but was just gifted an Xbox Series X/S controller and I do prefer the shape of it I think. Easier on my hands that's for sure.

I think the Xbox controller is the most optimal, but it looks a bit bulky compared to the lightweight design of the PS5 controller. Still, I have to admit, I mostly prefer Xbox controllers, even though I’m not as fond of Xbox games. :)

I wouldn't say PS5 is lightweight, especially compared to Xbox controllers. The main thing I like of the Dual Sense is the voice coil haptic feedbacks. Otherwise, my hand develops discomfort over a long period.

Well oddly enough my hand still started cramping with the Xbox controller. I think my issue is that I hold the controller too tight when playing something like Call of Duty multiplayer where it's fast paced action and things get pretty intense. I think overall though, I do like the feel of the Xbox controller a little more. I love the textured feeling on the back of the controller. The PS5 controller is nice as well. Definitely a step up from the PS4. I'm curious to try some of the other 3rd party controllers.

I think the best thing about it is the asymmetry of the toggles, which works well in some cases. But again, I totally understand how you feel, because switching between PlayStation and Xbox is like asking which is better—the Christmas season or Easter. It all the time depends.

Exactly, both have their use cases I think!

Remnant 2 and it's DLCs were awesome.
yeah, it's fun. I find that boss fights a little annoying on veteran mode. I'm guessing my build sucks is why. I found out the reason why I get frustrated is because I don't know the weak spots, and I always end up shooting the non-weakspots. I would recommend Returnal if you haven't played it. I prefer the movements a lot more since it's rapid. Kinda fits my personality. lol. I want rapid, rapid...

That analog stick button on the Gamesir needs to be changed. It's too shallow that it does't seem to get pressed reliably. I've compared the analog sticks with 2C, and I really don't see much benefit of the TMR on the Cyclone 2 over the hall effect on the 2C in such a case (for a shooter). I wish all controller had trigger button range reducers, so that I can trigger it very rapidly like the Cyclone 2. I wonder if there is anything aftermarket I can attach to the 2C?

If not sure if any of yall gone through the proving grounds in Remnant 2, but I noticed the issue when I try to run with the analog stick button, it's not reliable like the 2C.

I finished Returnal, Remnant and Remnant 2 all co-op with a friend, he ran a DPS build and I ran a Handler/Medic. It was a blast and made a lot of the sections like boss fights (they were shredded) and the proving grounds (one at the switch, one waiting at the lift etc.) so much quicker and easier. Those games are totally about the builds. When I was grinding the Outriders DLC and matchmaking for Trials of Tarya Gratar runs, I'd jump in with people 2 apocalypse levels or more above me and the end run stat's showed I was doing 11B damage while they barely broke 2B if that at all.

We platinumed Bloodborne as well full co-op, but that took a little more work as you had to do each section twice since the host only received the progression.

All of those were on the PS5 so I had no other choice of controller. ;)

Good choice of games bro. I approve. lol. We controller freaks know our games.

My cycle with Remnant games: Run around taking out all the minions, and then fight the boss. No idea where the weakspot is, and get owned. Get frustrated and curse that it's the worst boss design ever! Search Youtube, see somebody taking the boss out in seconds with some OP wep, and wonder why by build sucks. Whatch the Youtube vid again and discover I did not hit the weak spot. Fight again, own the boss. This is why I get frustrated at the start. I have no idea how to fight the boss until I see a Youtube vid.

Beautiful game with the new graphics engine. I like how optimized it with with DLSS and frame gen at the moment. I get great frame rates on my 4070TI.

Been playing Bloodborne on PC. I noticed with Cyclone 2, the trigger doesn't respond fast enough to fire the gun for parry. I realized that the trigger was not on Adaptive hair trigger mode, which is not default. I recommend setting it to that if you play games that need fast triggering. The default is analog level triggers, which isn't as useful.

I started it on the PS4 and finished (Platinum) on the PS5, never noticed any issue with Playstation triggers.

I've been watching Klef on the MyGamesir twitch channel using the Cyclone 2 and it looks like a great controller, don't know if it would give me anything over the Tarantula pro. I've never used the HE hair trigger mode, just flipped the lever on the back to engage the trigger micro switch.
