Best gaming controller

My vote would be for DualSense Edge. Best two-paddle controller I’ve ever used (I’ve used a lot).

As for four-paddle controllers, I’d recommend Scuf Reflex – aside from some dodgy Scuf/Corsair QC this is a fantastic controller. Especially if you opt for the FPS model with instant triggers/bumpers.

At this point the best budget controller that I have got is the 8bit Do ultimate 2c. The hall effect joysticks really do make a difference.

From my own experience, the best budget-friendly option is the GameSir T4 Pro. If you're looking for something even cheaper, there's a wired version as well. I personally use the wireless one because it can be connected not only to a PC but also to other consoles and even a phone. One of the key advantages, in my opinion, is the extra programmable buttons – they really come in handy.

It is the best budget, and I wouldn't recommend the new Ultimate 2. It's pretty much the same with trigger stop switch built in.

If they come up with a new controller they need to make better sticks and the body mold to shape like xbox controller for ergonomics. Stick buttons doesn't make clicks anymore, this is going backwards.

I don't think it's TMR makes it any better than the 2C's hall effect. Cyclone 2 is still my best controller I have.

I have been reading online that the pot sensors have the most linear response, more so than hall effect or TMR. However, we know they degrade much faster and they make create metal residue that causes false sensing.

Interestingly, durability wise, 8bitdo usb-c connector went bad on me for the first ultimate, but xbox series controller lasted me years. That connector is solid. However, you can feel the precision is xbox series controller isn't good.

Looks like it released very recently, I took a look at it and honestly did not find anything that can be called as an upgrade. I can mostly just see some visual upgrades other than that I did not find anything. Although the mode switching and the RGB is quite attractive but it does not justify the $60 price of this controller

Ok, so did more testing of Ultimate 2 against Cyclone 2. I've been playing Clair Obscur Expidition 33 (very good game), and the parry timing is laggy on the Ultimate 2 for some reason. Cyclone 2 is spot on. So, yea. Lag matters for parry timing in games, so make sure to test them out to see if it's you having bad timing or it's the controller.

There are subjective opinions on parry timing of the game out there. I'm thinking it's due to controller lag some people have excessive of. They probably have it connected to BT, lol. Some people think you have to hit the parry button early, but in my experience with cyclone 2, you hit it as the hit lands, that's how precise this controller is. It's demonstrating, it hardly has any meaningful lag.

You may think 20ms is miniscule, but I think it still matters when you need to time stuff for parries as it gives you are more accurate response to get into the parry window. Remember, any delay is timed action after that period.

So far right now, I think Cyclone 2 is the best 3rd party controller out there. Also, the software is very good, gives you even better control over fine tuning specific aspects of the controller nuances.

So, if you are really sucking with parry timing on Sekiro, perhaps it's the crappy controller connected through BT. BT is laggy unless it's Sony.

You could be the next Ongbal with the right controller. lol. kidding.
