I was wondering if there are any games that annyone has played who stood out for having very a good/unique audio experience.
My first thought was Subnautica.

If you enjoy survival games, Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl is a must-play. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, especially when experienced with a good pair of cans. While the game is older, it has a thriving modding community that keeps it alive and fresh.

One mod I highly recommend is Autumn Aurora 2. I played it recently, and it was fantastic—the graphics are significantly improved compared to the original, and the sound has been reworked for a more realistic and immersive experience. I played it with the Aeon X and Sennheiser HD 660S, and it was amazing.

The Metro series is another gem for anyone who loves immersive audio. With a good headphone that has a wide soundstage, the experience is perfection. When I had the AKG K701, it brought the audio to life—it was just fabulous.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re into these kinds of games!

The soundtracks for fromsoft games! Though you have to hear the songs a thousand times :D.

Apart from that I think there's a lot of games with very satisfying sound cues which i tend to enjoy, like Counter Strikes headshot sound, or Sekiros deflect sound.

There was an old game I had on my original iPod touch called The Nightjar I believe. It had no graphics and you had to navigate using spatial audio. It took place on a spaceship falling into a black hole with alien creatures on board. It was a very tense and memorable experience but I have no idea if it still exists.

There's also Papa Sangre which is similarly a mobile game with no visuals, only sound. I haven't played it though, but it has great reviews.

Skyrim has always been a nice one for the ambient music while exploring.
I also enjoy the original soundtracks in Witcher III Wild Hunt. And if you acquire the game through GOG.com they provide the FLAC files for free download under the game menu extras.

That reminds me I have to download TW3 and Cyberpunk soundtracks from GOG! The same composer Martin Przybyłowic worked on both and I think his work is fantasic. Another of my favorite video game composers Pedro Camacho worked on the main theme for TW3, his music for Star Citizen is gorgeous.

Danish composer Jesper Kyd is another one I enjoy who has done several game soundtracks.
