I'm planing to get some high end headphones, but I really don't know what is best for $235 us dollars.

A budget is good, but I think you should give a bit more detail--what genres do you listen to?  Does it need to be portable?  Need/want an amplifier for it?

haha sorry, I prefer open. I listen to mostly rock. It doesn't need to be portable since its just to leave at home and yes I will use a desktop amp with the headphones.

if you find them comfortable, you can't really beat grades for rock music, its always a fun experience too listen too some classic rock on a pair of grades

Personally I haven't had a good experience with Grados. They broke in just a month.

Maybe: AKG K242HD, Beyerdynamic DT440, Beyerdynamic DT860, HE-300....
There are plenty more options.

Determining what is "best" is so subjective.

really? how did they break, did you twist the cable too much? but if you can use a amp then I would say look at the beyerdynamic dt990 or hifiman he300

Beyer is quality top to bottom. I'd look at:
 
dt880 if you prefer a neutral detailed sound
 
dt990 for a good soundstage and nice bass for an open phone

What is best in a price range really depends on preference, but I would take a look into the Fischer audio FW-002W.

In your price range check out used cans. You will find here on hf many great bargains inc some great beyers grados senns akg etc. My personal preferences would be some beyer dt 770 senn 600 grado 325 Good luck
