I've been able to find the Ortofon's for a little bit under $290 shipped. Do you guys think this is the lowest price I'll come across?

Brand new that's an excellent price. If you can find one used, I have seen it as low as $200 (I think all that was sold was basically the earphone itself at that price and nothing else). Average used price (complete with box and accessories) have been from $230 - $260. I haven't really seen the e-Q7 sell for much less than $300 brand spanking new. If you can get $280 - $290 shipped new, I would say go for it.

No problem, and no need to share your source. Any head-fier worth his or her weight will research a piece to find the best price. Although there's nothing wrong with you asking that question. The e-Q7 is an excellent IEM, especially for under $300. Happy listening.
