Best DAC or DAC/AMP for HD 800?

I got them for cheap and they came with a little dot mk III but i think (and read lots of times) that they make the sound more smooth, i want something to make them perform the best possible with the soundstage even if they get a bit technical and tiresome.

Many solid state amplifiers will do that. So many possibilities that could drive the 800 well that I wouldn't even know where to begin. What is your budget? I owned, and loved, the HD800S.

500 - 700, something lower that gets the job done is good for me
