As I play some games in competition, I want the best headphones for gaming (music doesn't matter). I intend to use it with an Auzen X-Fi Prelude and possibly also with a tube amp if it helps with the sound quality in gaming.
From what I've seen, the ATH-A900 seem to be the best closed headphones from Audio-Technica, the DT 770 (closed) and the DT 880 (semi-open) seem to be the best (semi-)closed headphones from beyerdynamic. Sennheiser don't seem to have high-end closed headphones. Am I missing some brands and headphones?
Well, what do you reckon would be the best headphones to get for pure gaming? How does the ATH-A900 match up with the DT 770/880? What is the difference between the DT 770/880? All with gaming in the back of your mind.
Thanks for your help
