I'm in need of some new closed headphones, these are going to be primarily used for djing and critical listening, though I do not need anything soley marketed for djing use.

The only criteria, is # 1 sound quality and # 2 isolation

For sound quality a contender at or slightly above you max price could be the AudioTechnica ATH-A2000X AudioCubes.com - Audio-Technica ATH-A2000X Art Headphones - ATH-A2000X but I don't know if it would isolate enough for your dj needs

That is certainly the best option. But budget for a good amp if you haven´t one already

Another vote for the Pro 900. They're super detailed and have very strong bass, which imo is perfect for DJing (I assume you mean live).
Personally I like them a lot for home listening too.
