I will say this though. If you want (as this thread is called) the best bang for your buck MP3 player you can't go past the shuffle. It's simple, and sounds good. The Sony is sexier, more expensive and has a screen.
The Sony is tempting but I warn you that the software is supposed to be a pain in the ass. I'm a Mac user so it's not really an option for me. Let us know what you decide though.
I still think you should get the Shuffle though (especially after all the hard work making those AAC files - wink!)
