I'm looking for a pair of active noise canceling headphones for around $100.

- I have a pretty big head so they can't be too tight
- I am primarily using them to block out ambient/background noise without music playing in order to work/study
- I plan on using them for 6+ hours a day.

I've been looking at

Audio Technica ATH ANC7b. They look nice and the price point is pretty low. They look kind of bulky so I'm worried that they won't be comfortable with prolonged use. Also i've read that they have issues with sound leakage.

JVC ha-nc250. These have been rated pretty high on multiple websites. they look fairly light from pictures but I'm concerned with the fact that they are on the ear, so I'm worried that they will cause pressure and hurt my ears since I have a big head. I've also read that with music turned off there is a hissing noise with noise cancellation on.

does anyone have any recommendations?
would in ear canal ear buds work better? i've read that the noise blocking causes discomfort in the ears for some people.

Thanks!
