From what you say I believe what you mean is that it doesn't work very well with layered music - perhaps because it has a cramped soundstage and positioning isn't good enough to compensate.

Well yeah, but the detailing and clarity is a big part of it too. The M50 has a very average soundstage imo but does well enough because it still manage good enough separation and since it's more balanced and detailed, it allows for the music to come together and show the polyphony rather than sounding like a smoosh of stuff.

B-Dawk what do you think of this question I asked earlier in the thread.

"Okay here is another question. Theoretically if somehow these were fake, if they broke and I sent them into Monster, would they replace them because I heard they don't even check the product and just want to keep the customer happy. Its just a theoretical question, I believe these are real anyways."

It depends on their policy honestly. Do they fix it? Send you a refurbished one? Or send you a new one? If they fix it, then I wouldn't send it in. If they send you a refurbished one or a new one, I would. That's if you think they are fake. Since you think they are real, I'd just send them in if you were willing to wait for replacements.

Here's my two-cents (even though you didn't ask for them):

If customer support finds that you didn't buy this from retail, they wouldn't help you because the warranty is void. If you do somehow convince them that it's retail, they'll ask for purchase date, store, and perhaps a serial number of sorts. Then, they'll see if you're covered under warranty. If the warranty no longer applied, it's over. If not, they'll ask HOW it broke. If you said something along the lines of "the headband just snapped" or "the wire just broke off" (which is obviously not the case as the cord is detachable) they'll reject you. However, something like "there's only sound coming out of one side" or "I hear this buzzing sound that never goes away" may actually clear you for replacement. You'll get instructions on how and where to send your Beats, and off they'll go.

I always appreciate the opinions of others, hmm. Technically I could say that they were gifted to them. I wonder if they would accept them. I am sure that most companies want to keep customers happy no matter what to avoid situations. They are scared **** less of the Better Business Bureau

Small businesses are scared of the BBB because they're scared of losing customers. Companies like Sony and Microsoft could care less since they probably have enough money to buy them (and probably have) anyways.

Oh yeah another question, I can not believe I forgot to ask this. Does the device I listen to my music through have an effect on sound, such as if I plug my headphones into my ipad or pc, android phone, etc.

hmm, interesting, very interesting. I would be no way in trouble with the law though correct?

I believe that it is not against the law to purchase counterfeit goods - only selling and distributing them is.

Sound source is obviously very important. I'd expect to hear a lot of crackle if I plug my headphones into my laptop's port. The Beats don't need amps though - they're efficient enough as they are.
