Hi. I got Alessandro MS-1's last month. I LOVE THEM. I want to get another pair of cans, preferably closed, with sound quality and bass being priorities and maybe with a wider soundstage than the MS-1's. Please give recommendations in my price range of around $150 or less. Under $100 is preferable, but if an extra $50-60 will make a big enough difference, I'll go for it. Thanks!

The only basshead cans that exceed the various dt770 incarnations are an order of magnitude more expensive. See the quote by jahn in my sig for details. Welcome to head-fi, sorry about your wallet.

another is the sony cd1700 with lots of bass, silky mids and wiiiiiiide soundstage; lots of "out of head" effects.

Im gonna have to say the senn hd 212 pros, they have ample amounts of bass, and it sounds very good too. This is coming from a car audio guy who has some nice subs in his car.

DT 770 is probably your best bet, but finding them at 150 doesn't happen real often. I've seen it on them on the forums at that price probably 3 or 4 times over the past 2 or 3 months. On another note, I find the Senn. HD 280 Pro's to be quite bassy with pretty good overall sound as well.. They're also closed, just like you wanted. These can be had for ~$70 but I've seen them go as low as $60. Great can for that price IMO..

DT770
I have the 250 ohm version and when i crank them (unamped unfortunatly) i can feel them vibrate on my head, even at low levels you can touch the cup and feel the bass

They can be found in the FS/FT fourms every so often for around $100- $150

Sennheiser HD-280PRO - $69.99

Beyer DT770-PRO-250 - $156.16

AKG K240S - $99

Sony MDR-V6 - $68.34

Sennheiser HD-212PRO - $59.99

I can't find the Sony D77's, and I don't think the CD1700 is in my price range. Which of these is the best deal for me if I want to spend under $100?
