Bassiest cans out there for under ~$150

If you'll do a search you'll find the 250 Ohm DT700's are the least bassiest (if that's a word) of the 770 line, but you'll have to ask others how they actually compare. The 250's are supposedly harder to drive and need an amp to truely bring them up to par. I still stand behind my HD-280's. Save a little money you can invest in a portable amp or some music or something. They definitely won't disappoint.

Edit: Meant to say the 250 Ohm is the least bassiest of the 770 line.

i would choose the 212 pros or the K240 if it was me. but the K240 seems to need an amp too.

Sennheiser HD-280PRO
Beyerdynamics DT770-PRO-250
Beyerdynamics DT770-PRO-80
AKG K240S
Sony MDR-V6
Sennheiser HD-212PRO

I'm still having trouble deciding which one to purchase; I want to make sure they will suit me. I will tell you a little more about what I want so I can narrow these options down. These cans will be unamped. I want the sound to be detailed. I don't want slow, ugly bass, if you know what I mean. I want it to sound clean and fast but booming. The high's and mid's must also sound good. I'd like it if I could get them for $100 or below so if you are going to recommend the DT770's, recommend another pair that is $100 or cheaper, in addition. Thanks.

umaped the dt770's will not perform to its full potential. The bass will be flabby and bloated, recessed mids and harsh highs...
for unamped use with bass, look into some koss portapro's.

the cd1700 is sold around here used for between $100 - $150.

for without an amp the beyer dt231 ($70) would work. they have lots of bass.

i was under the impression that the HD280's were some of the flattests of the flat headphones. sound wise that is. those thing arent exactly small lol.
