UPS just dropped them off (i did next day shipping). They sound SO much better than thos 1770s I will keep them. my f17 volume goes up to 120, and im listening to these on about 112. So I will look at an amp to polish off this experience. Very excellent sound, great recommendation. I was beginning to lose hopeGrab a cheap speaker amp from your local dealer![]()

I'm glad I could help and you're liking them.
Now buy some open grills, DCA Ether Angled pads and do the bass mod.
Prepare to be amazed!
Insane mid bass with planar slam, big stage, details for days, non-fatiguing-natural sound, just a pleasure to listen to!
With an amp, even more bass extension/slam and increased stage.
You're welcome to join us at HE6seV2's thread!

Arctic Cables grills.
There are people that make them using 3D printer.
So there's this option too.
And other people sell them too on eBay.
My friend made purple grills for me (very cheap).
DCA Ether Angled Pads:
https://danclarkaudio.com/ether-c-angled-ear-pads.html
Very recommended.
Improved clarity/comfort and bring mids up.
Bass mod with doubled sided tape:
Just stick 2x layers of tape on each ring attachment.
Then paste them.
Used Flux Labs FA-10 or similar (based on other recs).and whats a good amp 200-600 dollar range
Modded Singxer SA-1 (my friend has it and says its good).
Jotunheim 2 (based on other forums).
HP amps bring more refinement (imaging), but lack power to increase bass slam and stage size.
If you want a tremendous experience, speaker amp is the way to go, unfortunately.
But HP amps can be used with IEMs and such.

Not sure about the quality this amp brings.
My friend had/have one and for a cheap way to power a HE6/Susvara, it's good enough.
Definitely gonna hear a bigger stage and bolder bass.
You'd need the right adapters to use them though.
I can research about them soon.

He was probably playing music before he entered the subway due to the proximity of people. I do the same when i wear my open backs out.I saw a guy on the subway yesterday wearing a set of HD800s but not playing music.....bc, open back and all. It was odd.....not sure what his deal was walking around wearing but not using a set of $1600 cans
just ordered this one

ok I got this amp how the heck do I use it with my m17? I cant figure out how to use it with my player -_-
i plugged it in the usb. got a popup asking for fiio to cnonect with hifiman thing and i have my headphone cable plugged in the front. no sound coming out ...
one last request. The he6sev2 sounded so good I want to go all out and get a really nice set of open back headphones. It's pretty much between the LCD 4, 1266 phi tc, and susvara
I like dynamic and deep boomy bass. listening to everything from
to
I don't know the right terminology but dynamic is the only thing that comes to mind. Dynamic that hits deep and hard but with plenty of clarity

I highly recommend Denon D9200 + Black Dragon cable, with amazing bass and clarityHi I've got some EE Legend X IEMS. Also had some EVOs and Mest in the past. The mest were way too weak for the rumble, the evos were pretty magical for mids/highs but I ended up getting custom LX's because of the bass.
Now I'd like some bigger headphones. It looks like the fostex th900 is the way to go but I wanted to ask here for a couple recommendations. Money isn't a real object but I'm aware of the law of diminishing returns.
Please suggest some bass cannon headphones that are also very musical and clear.
Thanks

The LCD-4 OG has the bass and technicals you are looking for. The Susvara is a bit too light in the bass for what you want. The 1266 Phi is the King, but it will cost a pretty penny.
