There have been issues lately with the tubes.  In fact, their main dealers/distributors in the US all stopped carrying them due to the rate of DOA tubes they were getting.  I bought three pairs each separated by about a year and a half, the last pair was simply deplorable and went straight back to the seller.

Wow, that many problems with KR tubes... Thanks for the warning, especially since they are so expensive too.

what do you mean exactly Radio head ? what was the problem exactly ?
Mine pair of KR PX4 have approximatively 1800hours (bought in 2011) , i hope they 'll work few years more.

Did I read something about the principal of KR Tubes...retiring perhaps dying? 
There are very few PX4s for sale out there from any of the valve sellers.

Well, I got a pair of KR px4 tubes after all and they sound fantastic, nice and full, especially nice with my HD800s, making them significantly more musical and liquid. I would easily get these tubes again if I needed new ones.
