Balanced Sennheiser IE8 through an RSA Protector

Hi, I've searched for experience & impressions on running balanced IE8's with an RSA Protector & can't really find anything concrete.
Has anyone tried this combo? It makes sense to me & will soon be a part of my portable arsenal- using a 160g Classic & an Algorhythm Solo as my source. It would be nice to hear from experience- maybe there's a better choice of IEM's or cans, I also have balanced HD25-1 ii's- maybe no Sennheiser at all?
Any comments or heads-up on a thread I may have missed would be appreciated.

If you're going to spend that much money on a cable and amp, you'd get better sound quality by just upgrading from the IE8's to a mid-fi custom IEM or high end.
