Thanks! Really excited to live there since I really love the atmosphere of the city and the coffee culture.

I'm attending Uni of Melbourne (Parkville) for postgrad study and will live on campus for a year.

I'll probably live in Melb for good if my skilled worker visa (permanent residency) application goes through

There's a Jaben in the city, so very close to Melb Uni.
It's good for headphones, but pretty scarce for desktop amps and DACs. Addicted to Audio has you covered there.

I would go for a nice camp in the outback where there is no noisy motel for at least 500 clicks.   

 
You get more restful sleep that way
