Totally bitten by the DIY bug, but zero talent with a soldering iron

I need to find a local DIY’er to build me a balanced β22. Will of course pay for parts and labor generously

Just would like to get a feel for interest if there’s anyone willing, available and able to take on this project

Ok this has gotten a little interest and has grown into a possible group buy with the following participants:

johnwmclean: 4-channel "fully balanced" amplifier (4 boards needed) 2 x S22 PSU’s
minivan
poo 4-channel "fully balanced" amplifier (4 boards needed) (2 x S22 PSU’s tbc with final cost)
Caution
Corky 4-channel "fully balanced" amplifier (4 boards needed) 2 x S22 PSU’s
and Daveze who has 3 spare boards

I'm not local, but If you'd be willing to take on a long distance arrangement, I'd be interested in building one for you. I have a technical background, and am very comfortable with a soldering iron.
PM me back if you want to discuss it further.

WOW tops

I may have a candidate for a builder...
The builder would be someone we’d all have confidence in, with great skills.
So 3 possible amps builds so far, 3 boards and a maybe a builder. At least that’s a start

Thanks for getting the thread underway John!

I'm up for one, providing I can find the quality I'm after and the build specs I would like... but I imagine that's the easy part!

I can get a 10% discount with over 4 kits with Glass Jar Audio

The only ingredient missing is a local builder

Please post your desired configuration details, and I will compile the info into the header post, either:

• Conventional 2-channel "passive ground" amplifier (2 boards needed)
• 3-channel "active ground" amplifier (3 boards needed)
• 4-channel "fully balanced" amplifier (4 boards needed)

Also I would strongly recommend the Sigma 22 psu, from what I’ve read it’s the best. For those wishing for balanced, it may me best for Dual Sigma psu’s.

go here for details Glass Jar Audio : AMB Labs Kits

I’m gonna poke around and see what info I can get for chassis design etc

Thanks!
