I've got 1.058 on my M1s now and am very happy that I can now listen to Tom Sawyer without wondering what happened to Neal Pearl's opening drum hit. Nice!

@AuneAudio: Buy the engineers a beer for us!

New version already?

EDIT: Gimme, gimme, gimme.

This is exciting news. I'm glad to hear the engineers no longer have to fear Shelly's wrath

I'll give a listen tomorrow and do a little huge fist pump when I hear the drum hit kicking off Tom Sawyer!

True. I've returned to the nice version of Shelly that I had always been

Please do, you deserve it.  We know that there shouldn't be a problem like that from the beginning but given the time and effort you spent in resolving that difficult problem, you deserve to celebrate.

We're looking forward to seeing more updates in the future for other potential improvements of the device.

Kudos @AuneAudio!

Thanks! We'll do better!

The engineers were probably having cold sweat all the time being on the receiving end your wrath, @AuneAudio.  Wahaha!  Please stay as the nice version and give us more updates and improvement.

Again, thanks for your hard work.

Hmm, a rather strange and very negative review of M1s, the first head-fi review by a gentleman who I don't recall ever chiming in this thread to discuss his concerns about M1s.  I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion.  Just bizarre to read anybody referring to M1s as a "paperweight with a fake bass and treble tones" lol!!!!  When it comes to a budget daps, M1s and N3 are still one of my top recommendations.

Honestly, I can understand what the guy is saying if he's making his review before 100 hrs of burn in time. It was quite some time before I felt the M1s opened up in the bass section. At first, I could almost not make any distinction between a kick drum and a bass line. It's a different story now that I have some time on it. Good separation and very clear sounding. And sending the balanced line out to a small portable balanced in balanced out amp is just excellent.
If there are any difficiencies in the player, though, it would be in the amp section, but for the money it is very good (if not that powerful).

Oh no, you've discovered the username I use for parody reviews

Oh, wait. Nope, that's wrong. I didn't do it :p

BTW, I don't know if it was the split second cut off issue being solved, but I swear M1s sounds more engaging via single ended or with the latest testing FW. Anyone else finding that, or is my perception just colored by how darn happy I am with that nagging issue being solved?

@AuneAudio: Great work on the newest update. No discernible cuttoff.

EDIT: Except for nearly blowing my eardrums out. Single-ended, high gain, ~58-60 volume, sudden static sound, and then all the volume in the *******ed universe. Glad I was wearing Grados for a change of pace, and not my usual IEMs. So, there's that.

LOL, given the quality of the "review" I wouldn't think two seconds about what it says. Just to bad that Head-fi allows any outburst to be published as a review. I think it would be in everyone's interest to separate full reviews from rankings without not much substance to them.

It's just a shame that this nonsense should be the first and only one up there, someone needs to do something about it

Update on stutter issue.
I borrowed Sandisk Ultra 32gb card, used exFat formatting scheme. No stuttering seen with any of the songs which were having issues with Strontium card. DSD plays perfectly.

What amps would you recommend that can perform this function?

@AuneAudio
Wow, if this is not an isolated incident that sounds like a really serious bug that needs urgent fixing

Do you know anything about this? Anyone else having this experience?
I should be receiving my review unit today, so I'm just being cautious lol

I had one track that was very digital noise and the progress bar was going wild reading at different speed. Too g back and forth. Another one read like broken cd. Repeating the same split second over and over. Seems player is picky with files. I'm not 100%sure but I think they were both Alac
