AUDIOSENSE in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

anyone have Ibasso DX150 with amp 8? and used it with t800?

I don't have the DX150, but personally the T800 doesn't really need amping, as it has lowish impedance of 9 ohms and is a multi BA set after all. It doesn't really scale with amping.

More important is that one pairs the T800 with a source with an output impedance of 1 ohm or less, as per the 1/8th rule (https://www.headphonesty.com/2019/04/headphone-impedance-demystified/) for source pairing.
The DX150 has different DAC chips inside so may be totally different, but I might also add that the T800 seem to synergize well with the DX160, and the DX300 Amp11MkII to my ears.. They also sound totally black even if I use high gain.

Any news for Audiosense AQ4?

AQ4 seems announced. It is showing up in their AliExpress shop and I bought one immediately.

Seems to be a sequel to the AQ3, which had equivocal reviews. Look forward to your impressions!

The store provided graph (if it can be trusted) has quite nice subbass extension (maybe might be basshead even). I am just worried by the little peak at the lower treble.

Also very low impedance so might be fussy to source match (according to the rules of eight for source output impedance matching).

Sure is. There is this that I use on my T800. But there are also a lot more out there that are good but cheap like NiceHCK Litz cables, Kbear is good and cheap, and etc... You can even get a decent Graphene cable on the cheap these days.. Best have a look at the cable thread on this forum to find some better-known names and their impedance measurements to help you make sure what you are buying IS better (though that wouldn't really be hard, since AudioSense doesn't make great cables resistance-wise).
Are the Tripowin C8's the same as NiceHCK's?

I use one of Audiosense's brown copper cables and I think it's steller. It was more expensive then the other cables but hey, Audiosense was a hyped brand back in the day. I still think it's a worthy purchase.

Honestly, I can't answer that question. There are probably a ton of cables that are from the shelf. I do know that the C8 (in particular) used to get pretty high praise back then. And since then, I haven't really been in too much need to replace cables. Nowadays (at least for the IEMs I have been buying I suppose) the stock cable quality has come a long way, and I have felt no need to purchase "upgrades" (ie Dunu, iBasso, even Timeless, etc...).

Here Is a listing of some measurements for some cables. As you can see from that list he doesn't recommend the C8. Take that part with a grain of salt. Good news is that you have a ton to choose from. G'luck to ya'!

Channel matching is pretty good.

AQ4 (30ohm) vs DT200

Just got the AQ4 and immediately put on 30ohm impedance adapter to balance out the sound a little. This is quite bassy and smooth sounding set. 800-1000Hz bump enables vocal to be pretty forward and clearly presented even with a heavy sub-bass presence. Pretty good for modern pop music so far :)

L-shape sounding mate?, based on how I interpret the graph.

I think I will enjoy this one!

Does the AQ4 come with an impedance adapter inside the packaging?

It sure looks like a basshead set in stock form (from the graphs), but a pity it needs an impedance adapter to salvage the tuning.

Another thing is that the kick-ass case they had before isn't included in the AQ4. They changed it to a smaller/narrower one.

That isn’t good… I loved the case that came with the AQ0.
