impedance adapter should give more bass.
That was what I read as well but apparently it doesn't work that way when I pair the 80 ohms adapter with my DT600 unless mine is a faulty pair. When paired with the impedance adapter, the whole imaging gets clean up and becomes a lot more clearer. Feels a bit like going from 480p to 1080p but then the bass becomes almost none existent.

When using my iPhone 11 w/ apple dongle, 80 ohms adapter and the DT600, the sound is tinny and harsh. I am assuming there isn't enough power to drive it. But on my MacBook Air it becomes much better but still a bit thin sounding, yet imaging and resolutions becomes better.

Yep, no impedance adapter gives more bass.
After listening for a day, I can say DT600 is a direct upgrade from DT200, more detail, texture, layers with similar tuning for a very reasonable price. It's not mind-blowing or punching way above it's weight, but a solid item for the price. Build and fit are superb as always. The impedance adapter makes it more palatable for those looking for something a bit more neutral, but I honestly prefer it without the adapter. Bass is very natural and deep for ba, but still has ba texture. And they are quite tip sensitive as well, so there is a lot of tinkering to be done with tips, source, impedance if one is into that. But it sounds great straight from the phone as well, which is how I listen when I'm really otg.

Finally got around to listening to the DT600s after finishing up some more budget review units.

Damn. Without the IA (included Impedance Adapter, 80ohms) it sounded like a hybrid. Punchy, plentiful bass with warm-tilted tonality, mediocre treble and really good technicalities.

Putting them on an AMP and using the IA made them clear up. Bass drops and cleans up, tonality skews to mid-forward and treble gets the boost it needed.

These are very, very good.

Compared to the DT300:

-More Bass
-Wider Stage
-Better Imaging
-Better Layering
-Treble is about the same stock but the treble boost with an IA on the DT600 fixes the eh treble of the DT300

Need to see comparisons of the t800/600 and aq7. I still have an account credit from a bad set of t800s, and have been away from head fi for a year and a half. Any insights? For reference, im still rockin a sony zx300 and dunu dk4001 pros. Love em. But i do miss the t800 sometimes

DT600 Review is up.

With IA: Cleaner, tighter bass, better technicalities and improved sense of clarity, at the cost of some higher volume harshness and a more neutral overall tonality.

Stock: Crazy amounts of bass, warmer tuning and arguably better timbre since it's warm in the lower registers but it does get neutral once you get higher up. Bit of a veil when A/B'ing vs. IA tuning but it's actually not that bad once you get used to it.

I have a few updates:

DT300f.jpg

Audiosense sent me a replacement unit (Left) and channel matching is now great.
kudos to AS for fast and hassle free service. I will start listening and give my impressions soon.

Audiosense included 80ohm impedance adapter, but I feel they should've included a 30ohm one which to my ears shifts the tonality to more balanced one. With 30ohm adapter, DT600 sounds like the Monarch I used to own, but without the coherency issue.

What issue does the monarch have?

Drivers coherency. Almost all tribrids exhibit this traits one way or another.

DT600 on my iphone 6S (3ohm) is near perfection. I’ve never heard BA bass done this way. @RikudouGoku get it!

It's incredible isn't it? With how good it is it makes me wonder why they didin't do a similar thing with the DT300 and put a bass vent on that thing.

Not to mention the quality of the IA tuning as well. 2 IEMs for the price of one
