I was looking at that e1da amp as well..... But I went ahead and got a used Fiio Q5 for my t800s. Might have a look at the gen 2 when it comes out but I know the Q5 is a great device. I am stoked to try it out. Just waiting for it to arrive.
One other thing I have done, people may not be aware, is the filters are removable. If I really prefer another tip I pull the filter out and insert into another tip. If it sits tight I will use those tips instead.

Have to say that the spiral dots ear tips have totally removed my desire to filter-change these ... The eartips have made the fit absolutely spot on for me and the sound is much calmer on the upper treble

I was amazed by this as well. I have recently moved to pure copper cable so I was able to change tips. The copper really smooths things out and boosts the bottom end a bit.
I use brown damper whit pure copper and spiral dots on my q5s whit am3d module. I am waiting for my pure copper litz and 99%silver 1%gold 8 core hybrid cable. And then i think i will change to the white damper. My setup now sounds to smooth for me i want some excitment back
