AUDIOSENSE in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Yep looks like Audiosense actually want to finally make some money, fear they've made a rod for their own back with the T800 being so cheap, at that point I don't believe any other company (even chifi) were selling over 6 Knowles BA for under 300usd. Now there are several but are any of them making any meaningful profit. If eg Shure released a 6 Knowles BA at around 500usd we'd think what a bargain, normally be twice that. Seems we're rather spoilt consumers these days

I bought a 5 Knowles BA from Hisenior (the Hisenior B5+) at $78 USD during sales, usually that set is just slightly above $100 USD.

Actually I spoke to a CHIFI manufacturer before, they say there are grade B Knowles and higher grade Knowles drivers used in CHIFI. Now I'm not saying that the companies above are using lower grade Knowles to make it so cheap (I'm actually very happy with the sound quality Hisenior and Audiosense provides in the gear I've bought from them so far), and I'm very appreciative of the great price to performance ratio of the Audiosense T800.

I've always liked Knowles compared to Bellsings cause the Knowles timbre sounds more natural with less harshness, and Knowles sounds more clean and less edgy to me. And Knowles has the reputation as it was the "original", but as you can see from this lawsuit (https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/cxqlje/knowles_files_claim_with_us_trade_commission_to/), even TOTL sets are using Bellsings (cough cough Solaris). Saving money aside, their engineers must recognize that Bellsings ain't that bad in sound quality to be able to be stuffed into a TOTL summitFI set?

But yeah we have to be thankful to the CHIFI gods for providing such good quality for us nowadays. I remember just 3 years back, a Westone single driver knowles set could set you back $100 USD at least. A triple knowles Westone set cost me $400 USD. Now we can get a single Knowles CHIFI at $30ish easily, and a multi knowles set like the Hisenior B5+ at sub $100. Amazing times (or maybe we have been fleeced by Western brands previously haha)!

Am I correct to assume that if they dont state what BA they are using (not sonion or knowles) then it is 100% Bellsing (or is there another BA manufacturer)? In that case the Bellsing BA used in the LZ A6 sounds damn amazing. :joy:

Not sure about that, I wouldn't be surprised there are other BA manufacturers in CHIFI. Probably there are different grades of Bellsings too, since the Solaris uses one. And possibly there's one in the LZ A6, which sounds great as you say.

Well if their country has fake eggs and fake milk powder, I'm sure electronics and BAs are even easy to be copied or OEM. Even the $5 Sony MH755 has fakes. I mean how much does an egg cost? 20 cents? Is it even worth spending money to fake such a cheap product?

FAKE EGGS AND MILK POWDER??? looooool

Even fake rice, made of plastic.

Fake pork steamed buns that uses chopped up and simmered cardboard instead of pork meat.

“Gutter oil”, which is cooking oil that has been siphoned from the street gutter (sewer), filtered, repacked and resold as new cooking oil to restaurants and street vendors.

Beef sold in markets that was tested and found out to be rat.

Oh yes, it is quite an interesting place. But they sure make some nice sounding audio gear :)

LOL, there's so many rumours and sensationalism about food safety in China in the media. There is not such thing as selling fake eggs and fake milf powder (there was this scandal about poisonous sustain used in a milk powder brand in 2008; not anymore), market food are regulated strictly by the government. There was also recently this rumour about plastic rice that was debunked again really fast.
Lets look at the market and apply simple logic: 1 egg in china cost only 1 yuan (0.8 euro), to make a fake egg that would fool the consumer you would need 3 types of plastic materials for the shell, egg white, and the yolk, and that's not counting the price of the metallic egg mold that is going to make all those layerings. There isn't any lack of food in the market, so it would be stupid to lose that much money trying to scam people with these weird tricks.

Haha I hope the "beryllium" drivers that are all the hype now in CHIFI are not radioactive or releasing some respiratory particles to damage the lungs!

But ok, not to derail this thread, let's go back to talk about Audiosense! Anybody got any specs or graphs on the AQ7 yet?

And actually the AQ7 is not the first Audiosense hybrid. They apparently had a hybrid called the AS20: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/audiosense-as20-dd-ba-hybrid-iem.21303/reviews

Apart from the dubious safety of the street food of some small towns that would alarm a lot of people, the most famous problem is the "gutter oil" problem since people can't really tell by the looks. They have been thinking about banning street food, but of course, not eveyone is content with this idea, since the small bad examples affect all of these kind of business, people tend to support their local street food, so it's a hard problem to solve. The only way for them is to keep coping the exception and strict the measures.

Astonishing to me for at least two reasons. How is it possible to continually experience surprise at such discoveries; the extraordinary, fantastical ingenuity & deceit humans exhibit.

Found another picture of the new and upcoming AQ7!

The page states:
The 6BA + 1DD earphone is the latest brand new flagship.
It comes with 4 crossovers, separated into deep bass / bass / mid / high, with a resistance value of only 13 ohm.

Can anyone sight another iem with a 'four way' crossover, from my awareness most 6-8 driver units might have a 2 or 3. Thei Audio voyager 14 and other high driver count iems costing the fatter end of 1000usd use a 4 way but can't think of a 7 or 8 driver units in the 3-700usd range which do. I'm awaiting corrections
