AudioQuest NightHawk Impressions and Discussion Thread

Last 3 tracks played with the NightHawks :

Your name, My game (Herman Düne)

Steal my kisses from you (Ben Harper)   => this one is a good example of the NightHawks rendering bass in a very accurate way, most headphones and IEM tend to get bassy with this one and loose detail and texture, not the NightHawk

Honeysuckle Rose (Latché Swing)   => I like tonal balance very much, instruments are so lifelike on this gypsy jazz track

I'd be curious to see what AQ would come up with indeed, even universal, I guess we could expect a dynamic or hybrid design from them or something entirely different ala Piano Forte?

I actually tweeted my request to Skylar yesterday. He replied and said he has some CIEM tricks up his sleeve that he hopes to bring to market in the next 18 months.

I'd be interested if there was a universal IEM in the works but I can't do CIEM's.

I had a chat with Skylar a little while back and I think you'll both be very happy...

Provided it's not insanely expensive, I will 100% purchase an IEM version of the Hawks.

Also, AWESOME review, dude.

I'd be happy with a closed version of the Nighthawk.

I've read somewhere in a magazine (in an AQ add that wasn't supposed to be published) that these are coming

A closed version would be greatly appreciated! @Skylar Gray/AudioQuest: Please grasp the opportunity and flatten/boost the lower treble slightly and let everything else well enough alone, and the NightHawks would be almost perfect.
