I still hope you are not getting out completely, I have enjoyed all of your posts and would like to keep reading about your head-fi toys you may get in the future :)
Oh no, I'm not getting out of it. I'm just "rebalancing" my priorities. I still plan to get the Susvara eventually because I wouldn't need to change or add anything else to my current setup but I don't think things like a big tube amp and a high-end server/streamer or a major DAC upgrade are in my future anytime soon. I'll continue adding little things like the BX2 and a few more cables, etc. to optimize my setups for different environments. Once you are in, you can never totally get out. I mean alcoholics can check out of AA but still have a few cold ones or a glass of whiskey every now and then. :relaxed:

The key to beating this addiction is finding other things that are just as good and complement what you have.

So very true. Doing outdoor stuff i.e. riding a bike helps me a lot, and inside the same story goes with painting and reading. The world doesn't end on audio apparently, but it's very cool how well music as heard on a nice rig fits to other activities at home :)

Cold turkey isn’t bad. Recognition of the Disease is half the battle, realizing compulsive behaviours can be matched with another compulsion, abstinence, can be quite liberating.

It's now roughly 4 months since my last purchase and the itch to try/buy New stuff Is pretty weak by now.

Really happy with my current setup. Switching between headphones every few days, and everytime I am amazed by how good everything sounds.

How are you guys faring Lately

There is alot of mystical fluff spoken on here ...

But I have experienced returns beyond my expectations by listening to peeps here and spending what I thought was an unreasonable amount of money on audio gear.

So respect! I'm glad I'm here and also I'm fortunate to be able to be in the conversation and recovering.....

BUT this is but one aspect of our life experience and possibly a sedentary one if we let it have its way...

Other stuff rings my bell more... I am happily addicted to paragliding. Mountain biking in these times is a good substitute.... But music keeps me sane...

My Innuos Zenith Mk3 broke (this isn't the first time), so I talked to my dealer, and he offered me a nice discount on the Antipods K50. It's still pricey, but I hear very good things.

I'd like to say that I'll be all set after that, but I want the DC4 power supplies for my DAVE and M-Scaler. :face_palm:

Also, I won't need my Innuos Phoenix USB reclocker anymore (the K50 comes with a reclocker already built in). I could be persuaded to trade that for some headphones, maybe some ZMF VC ltds. I had them previously, but sold em. I want to try them again with some different pads. We'll see...

Send my dealer coins for Viva Egoista 845 yesterday, which is less than a month since I bought Bartok......... this thread is not working!

Yeah, in your case apparently it's not working :D

On a positive note, if you can afford going after this luxurious stuff, by all means go for it and please report back so we have something out of this too

I had the itch to go for Valkyria but eventually managed to resist. Then I was tempted to get IE 900 but couldn’t resist and ordered one.

And then a temptation came from ampsandsound Nautilus as it looks to be a worthy amp for Susvara and other headphones (I’ve been wanting to have a tube amp for quite a while).

The latest one is the mighty SR1a. I didn’t have any desire to do an audition, but then out of the blue my dealer sent me a pair and I fell in love straightaway and now I wonder how the SR1a will sound with HSA-1b (or the Nautilus). I guess this will never end 😓

That's a good dealer you have out there. Or should I rather say, a bad dealer? :)
From my wallet’s point of view, the latter would be more suitable 😂
