Just go and buy Hifiman EF1000 (like I am going to do) and be done with it !
You're supposed to convince me NOT to buy anything, not the opposite!

Also..."and be done with it"...that's the problem! For you...do you really think a Hifiman amp will be the last amp you think about? Think again...

Thanks anyway

Yes for sure as after I am done with my headphone system....I will start upgrading my speaker system....with my plans for this being far far more expensive than a little headphone system ! :relaxed:

ok, I will jump in....I have more HP's than I need...a dave/blu2 and a couple of TOTL amps and I am always looking for something new that will give me the last 1%.....yes, it gets crazy but I love it!..to my credit, I did sell my loudspeaker system to focus on HP's only so some of the cost has been defrayed!!!!

Wow, that's quite the setup. I know these B&W fairly well so you either had to transition up from them, you've lost interest in regular stereo or perhaps new room conditions killed performance :p

Which one was it?

Apologies if I'm too investigative, it's a rare thing to read about regular audio setup like yours abandoned in favor of cans. Usually speakers are left as is and new headphone setups are built just next to them :)

in my case I live in an apartment and simply wasnt able to enjoy the system as I wanted...I was always afraid a neighbor would report me for noise ..I found myself more and more using my HP's and once I graduated to the likes of the abyss and susvara with my chord dave I found myself enjoying it so much that I decided to sell the loudspeaker system and free up cash for more HP related spending lol
