Audiophile? Is that anything like a pedophile?

Haha.. that title seriously made me laugh out loud. Although, "pedophile" seems to be the most common use of the suffix "-phile", so maybe that's why it's being asscociated with pedophile.

I'm still wondering why the use the terms "male" and "female" with electrical connectors. In my experience, the males are usually more often troublemakers than females in both electronics and social interaction, so it makes a little sense.

But at least with electronics it's much easier to simply replace it with a brand new one when that happens.

In all my experience with electronics, I never had a female D-sub connector become loose. However, I have enountered bent/broken pins in male connectors several times.
