Okay I am going to start a thread for the AF1120 since I do not see one as of right now, I hope if any of you are looking for another option for something like the Akg k3003, IE800, shure 846, etc. You consider looking at this, very good so far

Please do start a thread for the AF1120. Was just looking into investing in a new set of earphones and was considering supporting an Australian brand. Can you give us some of your impressions?

I will be posting my impressions and small first week review and how the sound has adjusted to my ears as well with my source, time or amount of hours used, what genres I have used, and as well with which amps and DAP after I get back from lunch. Hope you get to try them out at least, because as far as my own limited experiences with mid to higher end IEMs go the sound quality really is very with these AF1120s.

The AF100 are actually decent for 100 bucks. Bass has nice extension and is kinda boomy due to mid/upper bass lift, but vocals have good presence since the midband has plenty body as well. Vocals don't get overshadowed by lower treble either, although upper mids take a backseat to the rest of the midrange. Treble is smooth with a couple small clarity bumps here and there. This is only a couple hours in.. Pink noise is currently having it's way with the earphones. Drop me a line if interested in post burn impressions.

Just returned SE535 and bought the AF180, real glad i made the change, these are a fun listen.
I'll say one thing as they have only had a couple of hours in my ears ...... Musicallity !

Currently listening to Ben Folds Live in Perth (thought it was appropriate) .... Absolutely great! ....... Enjoying this album more than i did with the Shure's, that's for Shure! ..... Or not in this case. Ha.

Using the black large tripple flange, for me they're sealing and sounding the best, not quite as comfortable as Comply but not bad.
Which tripple flange are these? .... I'd like to purchase more.

I follow a few threads here on head-fi, now this one, good to say hello to you guys.

Been sitting looking at a clear set of AF180s on Amazon UK for a few hours now going back and forth and looking at the images and checking they hadn't made a mistake, as they were a silly price of £267 brand new, through Amazon themselves.
Thought to myself, I'll just check the returns policy and when I came back to the page they had gone up to £469...gutted. Must have been a listing error but I should have pressed 'Buy' :)

Thinking of upgrading from Westone W30s and these sounded ideal. Even at the real cost they might be ideal. I have Sennheiser HD650s and love those.

Hey my friend,
Forgotten I'd subscribed to this thread.
I'm selling my AF180's in the sales section if your interested?
Also selling a brand new unpened box of AF1120.

Only reason, I got bitten by the IEM but big time and ended up with Noble Kaiser Encore, mad price. Having to sell stuff to recoup the dosh.

I originally bought SE535 .. but switched to the AF180, I personally thought they sounded better.
Don't have any idea of how the AF1120 sounds, I bought them because I was impressed with the AF180.
Then, a big THEN, these Encores popped up at a decent price and I jumped in the deep end, so to speak.
I left them sealed for selling.

Just search my name if your interested the AF180 have had very little use and quite a few tips will come with them, they won't fit the Noble. AF1120 still sealed in their box. ..... It will be nice to see them go to a good home, sad to see them go mind they are the ones that started this madness! :)

Is there such a big difference between this and the SE535s ltd? I had just ordered the 535s but saw a review of these and tempted me. It is going to be my first in IEM in long time, previously I only had a pair os SE215s. I liked 535s came with to cords, and they are still 50pounds cheaper than the AF180s.

I have the 180mk1.and af1120mk2.
And there just OK!
180 is a little better with vocal not as warm as 1120.
You can do better for is price range.
Customer support is NOT Great!
And they double charge for shipping two items in one package .
I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED YOU BUY FROM AF. MORE HYPE THEN THERE WORTH. SAVE YOUR MONEY !
BUY FROM A COMPANY WITH GREAT EASY NO QUESTION ASK RETURNS.
NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!
