Audioengine D1 vs. FiiO E17/E9K (Paired only)

I'm looking between these 2 AMP/DAC's for my HiFiman HE-400's and my Sennheiser HD598s. They need to be below $250 or so. And It has to be a USB DAC/AMP. These are the two I am really interested in. Which one is better for those headphones and is an all around better DAC/AMP. Please have tried both of them, and preferably with those headphones. If you have any other recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

I have the D1, but I am very interested in anyones opinion between the D1 and E17/E09K combination.  I keep the D1 in my laptop bag for traveling so was thinking about the E17/E09K for a home Mac Pro.
