Did you asked him about his tonality preferences, is he looking for bass or vocals?, organic or analytic? People often forget that sound is subjective
yeah sound is subjective

Just burn-in for almost 20 hours, its sound starts to change, heading to clear and airy!!

i believe you have yet to try heaven vi, vii, viii, fibass and lab1

These i have yet to try but IMO the vi and vii are more on the organic side.
Forgive me for not stating my preference before but im more of an Etymotic kinda guy.

Just ABing the E40 and CKR10 for an hour, E40 sounds very very close to CKR10's soundstage and timbre. CKR10 is just slightly more refined than E40, but subtle.

Well, it is based on my E40 had been burned-in for 20 hours only, I hope its potential will be fully unleashed after 200+ hours, looking forward to it!!

  Just bought the E70 on a whim to compare to my trusty ol' Shure SE530, Acquired back in 2007... Looking forward to find just how far triple-driver sound has gotten since then. ​

yeap they are organic good for female vocals. Details kind of guy ya? What types of songs u listen to

movie scores DOMINATE my song collection. lets say 95%
and yes , i am a "details kind of guy"

I tend to put details ahead of everything else like tonality ,soundstage ,etc when choosing an "upgrade"
and next on line are the ER4XR which are yet to be released
