Audio Technica ATH-CKW1000: Through the Ages

Dying to get one but the only set available in Singapore has a ridiculous price (by Jaben). Hoping to get it through Tenso.

Thanks for the insights. I'm really thinking of trying these now. I feel the same way about the ex1000s treble at times. However, I do find the bass lacking at times. Hopefully the ckw1000 what the doctor ordered.

Is everyone still using their CKW1000's? I find that these in-ears still have that 10minute adjustment period after which you just dissolve into the sweet sounding music. Though I am using my B&W speakers the most haha =P

God.. I just fell in love with these all over again. Been playing around with UE900, PFE232, Momentums, VSonic GR07, MF EB-50 and hell, I have to admit, that the CKW1000ANV
has an unmatched, unique presentation. It will never throne my UE900, but I will definitely keeping them as my Fun headphones.

Sorry to bring this one back from the dead but are these now quite a bit cheaper than they were upon release? I'm only asking as I can get a pair from Japan for about £80 before shipping and that seems insanely cheap compared to some I've found just searching the web. 
 
I've currently got a pair of Phonak Audeo PFE122's and Triple-Fi 10's; how would these compare to those and would I be upgrading or staying about the same level of quality?

Its more of a collectors item now that the new IM series have been released. If you are looking to upgrade in that price range (and like the new Audio Technica sound signature), I would give the IM70 and IM02 a good look.
 
I tried the TF10's many years ago, so I don't think my memory comparison is relevant anymore. Its nice to see the price drop on the CKW1000 so much.. because I paid around $500 for my pair

Thanks for the advice. I didn't buy a pair in the end. Instead I put the money towards a set of used Westone 4R's for about $280. I never bought used earphones before so it's a bit of a gamble for me.

CKR100 > CK100pro > CKW1000ANV
