ZMF Eikon Pads -> Thanks for the suggestion but it's way too much.

I'm looking for affordable pads under 30$ that fit my headphones the best and fix my sound leaking issues. Even 30$ pads seem too much actually, but I wouldn't mind if it performs well and I'm sure it will.

I'm glad that the post above me talks about the HP-A1000 because these are the ones that seem to match my needs.
I actually came here to check your thoughts about them and if there are better options in the same price range, taking in consideration my isolation needs. Also I'm wondering how much of a change it would make from my stock pads and if the HP-900x wouldn't instead fit my cans better.

I've found these two links, that sell the two products for the same price:

They seem clearly different.

Yeah, the A1000 pads seem to be made of a higher-quality pleather, which leads me to believe they would isolate a bit better. However, I haven't tried them myself yet, so that's just a guess. They seem like the safest option since they're within your budget and they were designed for a very similar headphone, so they'd likely result in less of a change in the sound signature than any HM5 pads would, for example.

did someone tried brainwavz pads on this headphone? I read that the oval ones should fit a900x, but they also have round ones that seems to me a better match. They are 10cm in outer diameter, that is just a little smaller, and 5.5 inner diameter, that's fine. But they don't have an angled round version, so it's a plane 3cm thick.
What do you think about these? thank you

Brainwavz oval pads fit, but require a fair amount of stretching. Changes the sound quite a bit, though. Round pads would fit better. I'd probably avoid using angled pads, since the drivers themselves are already angled. So far, it seems the A900Z/A990Z pads are the best alternative for the A900X - they're an upgrade in comfort without changing the sound much. Gonna try the Hifiman pleathers soon, since they seem to be of a similar thickness but have a bigger ear hole.

Hey everyone, its' been a while since I came here haha.
The A900X has a channel balance specifically in the high treble (10khz+) area, would converting these to a double entry headphone balance this out?

Only if you could EQ one channel specifically in analog domain. Otherwise I don't see why it would make a difference. In fact it might become worse, who knows. If you are willing to take risk then improvements may (or may not) outweigh the flaws

Thanks Imran, I just looked into this a bit more and I was thinking the a900x was connected to the other driver by the solid metal headband haha. I'm not sure why I thought that.

Hello, it's been a while. So I've resolved my issue by using a rubber band. It provided a better seal and thus better isolation, and it also did fit a lot better on my head so no real issues anymore.

Now I'm getting another issue though, my pads are simply worn out, and I'm looking for new ones. This time I just want something that fits well and can be applied on the headphone without issues. My budget is below 20€.

I've got an amazon card to spend so i'd like to purchase them there, but I can't find much on amazon.fr , all I've found are these two models:

https://www.amazon.fr/Geekria-Coussinets-ATH-AD1000-remplacement-oreillettes/dp/B07CL75L81/
and
https://www.amazon.fr/Coussinets-ré...a-Ath-a1000-Ath-ag1-Ath-a950lp/dp/B0749PYQ2L/

the first seems unknown and the second mediocre, so i'm really not sure what to choose.
Also I've seen recommended the hifiman velour earpad, but I'm not sure wich one it is, is it this one ? https://www.amazon.fr/Earpads-headphone-Coussinets-doreille-remplacement-HiFiMAN/dp/B00VV2JYXK/

I hope you guys can help me, I'm pretty lost in what to choose.

Bought the A990Z for $148 shipped.

They are what I wanted, similar to AD900x sound with more warmth and isolation. These will definitely be taking over all of the K553 time. This is what I want K553 to be. Also the stock pads, I'm impressed. These will be far more comfortable than the K553. K553 my ears were mashed against the plastic, causing lots of pain over time. And then having to adjust the headband to get proper seal with after market more comfy pads...

Ugh, thankful the A990Z out of the box have the bass oomph, comfort and without having to worry about clamping force to get good seal. I recommend the A990Z.

Also for those pondering A990Z or MSR7? Please... do you even have to ask?

So those pads you know are replacement for the AD series? I just put them on my AD900x and I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone who needs AD series pads replaced. They have the same shape, comfort and feel except IMO superior foam that doesn't deflate like the original did.

These will definitely affect and change the sound of the A990Z. They are shaped with the interior being thinner than the outer. Because the A990Z have the same angled drivers, this will not change the comfort, your ears will not tough the housing. This will make it more likely your ears will rest on part of the pads vs being completed surrounded by the stock A900Z/A900X/A990Z pads.

If Geekria makes pleather replacement, go for it. I'm really please and happy with that AD series replacement.

When I get home I may try using them with A990Z.
