Thank you. NOS 19 is beautiful.
I’m think I will take r2r 11 ...
And I’m from EU.
regards
Simon
Definitely go for the R2R11, my most favorite dac of all, with the stock blue usb cable you'll get that warm and sweetness you're looking for.
Will be repurchasing an R2R11 soon with i2s input instead of amanero.
The amanero is great, block your usb's 5v pin and you'll get a complete black background.

Good idea. The r2r 11 must be absolutely awesome with a first class i2s transport.Definitely go for the R2R11, my most favorite dac of all, with the stock blue usb cable you'll get that warm and sweetness you're looking for.

BTW, is there a DaV2 board upgrade for R11 yet ? They have that for the higher grade R2R DACs.
Is the DSD noise more or less resolved though I heard that requires both V2 board and latest TDA FW, at least that is for the R7s.

The da8 v2 is used since Dec 2018 on all gears that used the original da8 (r2r 2, r1, r28, r2r 11).BTW, is there a DaV2 board upgrade for R11 yet ? They have that for the higher grade R2R DACs.

What did you use to block the pin please?
There are 4 pins in the usb, block only the last pin on the right with a sticky tape.

I tried this but it made no difference. Maybe the R-28 isn't affected by USB power? There are 4 pins in the usb, block only the last pin on the right with a sticky tape.

Could be, I get only positive results with amanero and xmos, though with my gustard u16 I prefer not blocking as it seems more natural leaving it unblocked.I tried this but it made no difference. Maybe the R-28 isn't affected by USB power?

I have a black background already but I thought I would give it a try.
Edit : thank you for mentioning this, I am very happy with the results.

I am thinking of trying to boot and run Linux from a USB flash memory stick. And I am wondering if these stripped down versions will support my R2R1 DAC?
Thanks!
Thanks!
