Which is the price?

I'm guessing somewhere between $300 and $400.  Promo could be about $60 less, or same.  Of course this is pure speculation and I have no idea what it will really cost.

The Promo units (first 38) will be built with Vishay resistors.

If I had a nice portable like a HiFiMan 801, I would have to buy one of these.

Just in case anyone is looking for an amp, Kingwa just posted the C-2 SA....

Fully discrete amp without any OPA ,  couple caps and DC serve , built by exact match transistors ..

http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/C-2SA/C2SAEN.htm

Going to post it in the amp sub.....

Cheers

Look good but there's not ACSS input on this Preamp... Still prefer the C-2 to pair with a DAC 19 DSP, but it could be a very good heaphone amp for owner of other dac with only  standards RCA outputs.

the nfb-11 looks interesting but the fact that the on/off switch is on the back is a bit of deal-breaker for me.
maybe i order a fun with the wolfson dac. does the fun feature a dual wolfson setup like the nfb-2/nfb-3 ??

edit: I'm looking to replace a modded zero dac.

Only one wm8741. I wouldn't be put off by the back power switch myself... hardly takes any time to reach around to the power switch. Maybe a more important consideration is whether you like the wm8741 or es9018 sound signature. And if you want a smaller dac/amp, nfb11 vs sparrow.

$260 is crazy.  I reckon it would be a bargain at $400.  The original Compass was sold at $260 on promotion, which Kingwa said was the cost price.

The most telling thing for me is that this is the first product I've seen from Audio-gd that uses SMD resistors. I thought at first it was rather small for something that Kingwa was using the "high fidelity" spiel on, but can now see that how he has compacted it.

Its still larger than a sparrow as well, the casing is longer, so combine that with the surface mount components and I think there is a lot of stuff packed in that chassis.
