If you imagine a logarithmic curve, most of the benefit of warm-up time I'd say happens in the first 30-60 minutes.

Thank you.  The Master 7 was turned off overnight and no worries on a cold start this morning.   First few songs sound not bad at all.  Scott

Hmm, my last comment as me thinking, i know that people have asked Kingwa about a Stax amp, and he has said no due to the dificulty in finding suitable transistors for the job. But has anyone asked him about a balanced ACSS Phono Pre Amp? it seems like a whole in his rather extensive product line.

Sounds about right to me - I can't wait to get both of these master units.  It's going to be quite expensive buying them new over here, and can't seem to find anyone selling them in the forums - are these quite rare units?

I have tried changed the USB firmware IC. ver3 is slight warmer. Original is more neutral.

My Master 7 has arrived :) After years with the Ref One, I have the following initial impressions:

Space has improved a lot, everything is more 3D, especially the localization and separation - everything is better defined in 3D space. Level of details has increased. I really like these improvements.

More impressions may come later :)

What digital input(s) are you using?

At the moment, I use the BNC input feeded by the Audio-gd DI-V3 so that I can compare the Master 7 with the Ref One directly with no other possible influences. So, my setup differs only by DACs - Master 7/Ref One.

After some burn-in period, I will try the direct USB input.
