Correct. And there are more issues, just forget about.
:)
Kingwa himself suggested swapping in a Crystek. The cchd-950 has the required frequency, which looks like 80Mhz from the pics. A dip8 adapter would likely work, assuming all electrical params are compatible, including the waveform. I will ask Kingwa.

I bought cchd-957s on dip8 adapters in 2016 from twistedpearaudio to replace a similar Chinese pair of oscillators inside a weiliang audio ddc.

Yes, you should ask. However the clock output is specified -9DBm like it is done for sinewave generators, not in Vpp as for the input (which Kingwa expect squarewave). And a frequency looks to me 100MHz (sticker is obstracting first digit). It wouldn't make any sense to use 80MHz in this place.

[EDIT] 100MHz is not 10MHz! Actually it makes sense when target frequency is 10MHz, just divide by 8. :frowning2:

And finally, a good TCXO will easily beat Crystek on jitter in the frequency range that matter the most (1 to 100Hz).

The as318-b is likely a direct swap then. I will ask Kingwa. Cchd-950 is not optimized for audio.

With the holiday special, it is tempting......
Even without sale/discount. I can not fathom how Kingwa managed to push everything I need into this box.

A good PSU can get a decent masterclock(Morion) to perform a lot better.

Imagine how well the PSU in the DI24HE would perform.

I reserved one unit

Hey guys, how do you contact Kingwa from Audio GD ?
I tried on their official website, but the email was not delivered . This email : audio-gd@vip.163.com
I've just sent an email on that address, as I also have some inquiries.. It was delivered fine, I've already got the automated reply too.

It could be another 10 days before my DI24HE is shipped. A batch of them is being tested at the moment. This is a new product so they will do extra testing, as I understand.
you already own another Audio GD DDC? or similar other brands?
