To add on this:

This offer is limited to USA customers only, because of added complications and costs. You would need to ship your headphones at your expense, and it can’t be sent by Post as international mail either does not include tracking information or is otherwise unreliable (headphones lost in the mail are not our responsibility). Therefore, depending on where in the world you're shipping from, the cost via DHL/Fedex/UPS is going to be from $70 to $180 each way.

In addition, import duties to the USA are not included (that is you need to ship to us on DDP terms, meaning duties are paid by you beforehand). Then you will have to pay for the shipping of the new CRBN or LCD5 (another $70 - $150) plus any import fees to your country.

In the event that something goes wrong with the headphones, since your local dealer/distributor is not involved in this sale, they won't give you any warranty support - you would need to send the unit back to Audeze. In other words, you would probably be better off if you sold your headphones, then buy CRBN or LCD5 locally (and you would then get local warranty support). However, if you’re OK with all these additional expenses, then let us know, and we’ll look at your trade.

Why?

This is such a bizzare sale... What are you going to do to the old headphones? Torture them? Laugh at them? Engage in bulk second hand sales to shady shops? How does Audeze have time to engage in this. Are you overstaffed? Wanted to find a gimmik to avoid upsetting people who bought these new Audezes at full price?

What am I doing writing this? :)

So to clarify, would this deal extend to Canada?

Saying USA customers says no, but explaining in detail the costs and duties confused me. The FAQ page specifically mentions duties, which would only apply to international customers such as Canadians, correct?

Canadian customers will be accepted, but be aware of additional processing fees by customs, etc. These are all charges the customer has to pay.
