Seconded!Let us know what they're like if you get a pair pls. Would be interested in these down the line if they don't muddy the sound at all. Graphs for wicked cushions were close but sounded very different to me in reality.
Graph looks excellent if they deliver that with good feel and comfort.

The past few weeks I got a crackling sound coming out of the right ear cup. It was getting worse and worse. Now I can’t move my head and it’s like foil is knispering beside my head, frigging enoing. Now I need to send them back for “repair” just got them 7 weeks. I’m really not happy about this. I got really bad experience with headphone repair because it’s always the users fault….

I really liked the sound of the Maxwell when I got it but I have always struggled with the tuning of the bass. I dislike the elevated sub bass. The presets and EQ in the app are very limiting as I was searching for that classic Audeze bass sound from my LCD2C. I finally decided to figure it out with equalizer APO/Peace. Leaving the headset on the Audeze preset, I took the auto eq tuning from the auto eq website and lowered the stock bass boost from 6db to 2.5 db to match the levels of the diffuse field in the bass. This follows more of a target for the flat bass of the Classic and something like a 2020 Sundara. I expected some wonkiness because of the eq. Well...It now sounds like a LCD2 closed back. Gone is the one note boomy sub bass and now there is that midrange growl with still having the plenty of sub bass extension. The sound stage cleared up a lot for music and gaming. I can, forgive me, see into the music much more. Man I wish there was a way to import this eq into the headset itself! It really is like listening to a lcd2C with clearer 1khz and upward.

How's the comfort on this? Been thinking about grabbing one when they do a restock on it.Got one in. Here's a comparison in size to the WC Maxwell silicone headband.

It perfectly comfortable for me with the stock head strap which distributes the weight fairly well. It is heavy compared to my other over-ears though....

For my particular head shape, the Capra strap made the clamp worse with the Wicked Cushion pads. Some people love it, though.
I prefer the WC silicone strap.

Does anyone know what USB C spec is used in Maxwell, just curious.
Maxwell uses USB 2.0. The nest and most consistent connection you'll get from a USB port is using the usb C to USB A adapter and connecting Maxwell to a standard USB 2.0 port/cable. Ensure you try all your ports, as with any computer, some ports may less noisy, more stable than others.

I've been out of the Audeze discussion for quite some time. Im still rocking my Penrose on my PS5, but I am looking at building a PC for gaming soon.
What is everyone's recommendation for PC, even if using a wired connection were an option? Still the Maxwell? Any news about an update to the Maxwell any time soon?

Do you need an integrated mic/chat?I've been out of the Audeze discussion for quite some time. Im still rocking my Penrose on my PS5, but I am looking at building a PC for gaming soon.

Or would any headphone that's good for gaming be acceptable?

@Audeze Updated my Maxwell to v1.0.1.60 and noticed a significant tuning change (a much darker sound profile) for the Audeze preset. Was this intentional?
I also noticed a volume level change—on v.1.0.1.56, I would normally reach comfortable listening in the 40% range (Windows) but now I'm reaching 60%+.
Personally, I am not a fan of the tuning change. Is there a way that the older tuning can still exist in firmware v.1.0.60 and beyond? If not, I think this should be reconsidered since this change is subjective and isn't inherently an improvement for everyone.
Thanks in advance.
